Welcome to my other world!

Hi everyone.

I created this page to share my photos and my artwork with you. I also write poetry as you all know but as I post my poetry on viggochronicles, I'm not sure if I'll put any here for a while.

I can draw but not well, at least I don't think so. My brother Rob is the artist in the family. So most of my 'art' is done on the computer. I got a graphics tablet for Christmas and have been playing with it, mostly on background effects for some of my 'artwork' but I actually drew a picture with it today and it came out pretty good. I'm happy with it anyway. It came out better than my other two attempts to draw with my mouse. My first attempt turned out to be a creature that I named MyMon, that's short for my monster. I made him about 1997 or so. My second attempt with the mouse was a tree I did last night but I don't think I'll put that here. My third attempt at drawing my own art was with the aforementioned graphics tablet and as I said before, it came out okay. Yes, it was a tree again. I have this thing about trees. I love to look at them and I love to climb in them. Trees are very cool! My lillesøster Oli liked my tree, she said it was moving. That the strokes of my pen made it move. I'll take that as high praise for something that I thought of as silly but satisfied my insides like water on parched ground.

I hope that you all will enjoy my page and my efforts at being creative. I've always enjoyed making things with my hands, crafts and such, but being able to 'make art' draws on something deep inside me that is very satisfying.

I've sorted out my artwork with the most recent first and worked backwards from there. You all may notice that there are several different versions of the same subject. That is because I often found different effects that I liked and used. You will also notice that there are a lot of pictures of Viggo Mortensen, that is not only because he is my muse but because I have a lot of pictures of him! I also did a lot of 'St. Viggo' pictures, I was sort of obsessed with getting it right but St. Viggo 5 is probably my last one because I feel that I done enough on that one subject.

My photos are more or less oldest first but not all of the photos that I've taken over the years are here because I wouldn't have room for anything else!

I will add photos of some of the things that I've made by hand as soon as I can. I'm also going to have audio on here as soon as hubby helps me set it up. If nothing else, I'll have downloadable mp3s of me reciting some of my older poetry. Mostly because I wanted Oli to hear my voice. GP once thought that maybe I was a dream until she heard my voice for the first time. That still makes me smile.

Please bear with me as this, like my life, is a work in progress. It is also a labor of love. I would like to express my gratitude to Viggo for being a great muse and inspiration, even though he'll never see this website or my work. If he hadn't given me a little 'kick in the pants', I never would have started writing poetry again or started to 'make art' again. I also owe him a great debt for introducing me to my sisters Green Poem and Olianna. I traveled with them from musings unleashed to viggochronicles. There I was given more sisters, Narculië, Cali and Debi or Viggo-on-the-brain and a brother Gabe or viggo_admin. I have gained even more family in the time I've spent on VC and it opened up a whole new world for me.

Viggo, you have my everlasting gratitude for all these wonderful people that I have met because of you. There is no way that I can repay you for this.

I would also like to thank my sisters Green Poem and Olianna for always believing in me when I felt no one else did. I was wrong of course, because my brother and sister Keepers on VC believe in me too.
